Erica was appointed by the Most Rev. Bishop David Bonnar as Diocesan Pastoral Associate for St. Catherine of Siena Parish in March 2026. In this role, she assistsFr. Steve with the administration and operations of the parish, with the goal of helping St. Catherine of Siena remain a vibrant light and presence within the Boardman community.

Erica’s secondary focus, and her original ministry at the parish since 2013, is serving as Director of Communications. In this role, she oversees the parish website, publications, social media, livestreaming, and public relations, helping to share the life and mission of the parish with the broader community.

A proud graduate of Kent State University, Erica earned a bachelor’s degree in Photojournalism with a minor in Sociology in 2004. Prior to joining the parish staff, she spent nine years working as a multimedia journalist in the newspaper industry. She also holds a master’s degree in Pastoral Studies, with a focus on Digital Evangelization, from Loyola University New Orleans.

Erica has been an active parishioner of St. Catherine of Siena Parish at St. Charles Borromeo Church throughout her life. She currently serves as a Eucharistic Minister, participates in the Sponsor Couple ministry, and co-chairs the Art & Environment Committee.

She is also a member of the Marketing Committee at Villa Maria Education & Spirituality Center in Pennsylvania, where she lends her expertise to support the organization’s marketing and communications initiatives.

Outside of her parish ministry, Erica and her husband, Scott, share a passion for photography through their photography business. They call Boardman home, where they enjoy life with their two golden retrievers, Penny and Jovi—affectionately known as their “monsters.” When she’s not busy, she loves getting lost in a good book, catching up on her favorite streaming shows, and soaking up the outdoors with long walks and new adventures throughout Boardman Park with her monsters.
