Cursillo Movement
The Cursillo Movement is a world wide movement which began in Mallorci, Spain, in 1940. The movement came to the United States through Waco, Texas, in 1957, and locally to Lorain, Ohio, in the 1960’s.
This movement is one within the Catholic Church with a purpose of making Christian community possible in neighborhoods, parishes, and work environments. Through our baptismal call, we are commissioned to evangelize. Cursillo is a deliberate act to bring Jesus Christ into the world. The Cursillo Movement has two important tools with which to assist in Christianizing the environment: Group Reunion and Ultreya.
Cursillo is not an individual experience. It is a communal experience. Currently more than 18 countries have the Cursillo Movement in their diocese. If you are interested in the Cursillo Movement, please contact parish representative Nicole Zayas @ 330-774-7331.
Eucharistic Exposition
Exposition is an opportunity for individuals to spend personal time in silence and prayer before the Blessed Sacrament. Jesus has promised that each hour that is spent in Exposition will deepen His divine peace within your heart. “Come to Me all of you who are weary and find life burdensome and I will refresh you...” (Mt. 11:28). Exposition takes place weekly from 9:00 AM Fridays and ending at 9:00 AM Saturday morning with a closing prayer service. One hour of your presence is requested. For further information or to commit a particular time, please call Mary Quinlan @ 330-758-8242.
House Blessing
House Blessing, a sacramental of the Church, is the sprinkling of the house and the family living therein, praying for God to sanctify the home and family. Requests must be made through the parish office at least one week before the blessing. To make arrangements call the parish office @ 330-758-2325.

Divine Mercy Chaplet and Novena
As designated by John Paul II in 1993, Divine Mercy Sunday (The Second Sunday of Easter) is a day to remember that God is merciful and forgiving and that we, too, must show mercy and forgiveness. Usually prayed for nine days prior to Divine Mercy Sunday, we offer the Chaplet and Novena on the nine consecutive Fridays prior to Divine Mercy Sunday. This devotion, prayed on a rosary, is part of our Friday Eucharistic Exposition.
