What is a Community Meal?
A Community Meal is an offering of hospitality
where ALL ARE WELCOME to dine with us free of charge!
The simple act of sharing a meal changes lives and hearts. We know this from our own faith tradition. Here at St. Charles, we are beginning our third year of Community Meals, and we have fed hundreds in our community ~ in body, mind, and spirit.
Our next meal is Thursday, September 25, 2014
from 4:30PM - 6:30PM in our social hall.
Plan to dine with us, or if you are interested in helping in any way, cooking, baking, serving, clean up, etc., please contact Janine Tarashawty @ 330-565-4057.
We rely on your time and talent to keep this going
WE WANT TO HEAR FROM YOU !!!
In an effort to hear from Catholics throughout the diocese, you are invited to complete the survey found by logging on to www.doy.org beginning September 1, 2014.
You can also obtain a written copy of the survey at the parish office or by calling the
Office of Evangelization at 330-744-8451 (ext. 237).
This survey will ONLY be available during the month of September. During October and November there will be deanery (county) gatherings to share and discuss the survey results and what impact they may have on our parish and diocese.
This survey is two-fold. It will serve the diocese as well as give us, as a parish, a better understanding of our strengths and challenges. We value your input and insight and rely on it for creating a vision to move our parish forward.
THIS IS YOUR CHANCE FOR YOUR VOICE TO BE HEARD.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Office of Evangelization at
the Diocese of Youngstown @ 330-744-8451 (ext. 237)
ALL SURVEYS MUST BE COMPLETED AND INTO THE DIOCESE
BEFORE SEPTEMBER 30, 2014.

A Single Serving of Service
There are no meetings to attend, nor does it take a large amount of time.
It consists of a One Time commitment of service for a particular ministry that would greatly benefit from your One Time involvement.
The Stewardship Ministry Fair will be held on Sunday,
October 12, 2014. Preparation has begun and many hands are needed to ensure the success of this event.
There are a number of Single Serving of Service oportunities available,
both with preparation, as well as on the day of the event.
For more information and to volunteer contact Karen at the parish office at email@example.com or 330-758-2325.
Can you touch a prayer? Can you pull it close and feel its comfort? You can if it comes as a gift in the form of a Prayer Shawl.
Prayer Shawls are simple gifts of grace from God that are prayerfully and lovingly stitched by volunteers of St. Charles Graceful Hands and prayer over as a reminder that God's promise is always with us.
Shawls can be useful for: those undergoing medical procedures; as a comfort after a loss or in times of stress; during bereavement; or for prayer or meditation. Prayer Shawls are available to anyone free of charge. Please call the parish office @ 330-758-2325 to reserve one or stop in to pick one up.
Evangelization happens when the parish community dedicates itself under the Gospel to worship and to witness, to teach and to learn, to serve and to liberate, to welcome others and to extend itself for the sake of the reign of God.
